I have business interest in New York and I travel there. My associates treat me and my California partners to Yankees and Mets games. I read the NY papers on-line and I cannot understand why they act like they pay the teams salaries or they own them. NY media got Randolph fired and started that cruel and vicious rumor that Piazza was gay. If you accuse someone of that you better have very, very concrete, solid evidence. Also, NY media led to the Yankees not being more aggressive in keeping Torre. This is why people have no respect for the Yankees nor Mets and I don't care how many WS the Yankees have won. Stick to the question please when you answer me. Thanks.

When you think about it, the media in New York pretty much owns the whole city. New York has got to be the most opinionative city in the world. One person lands on the newspaper and they are instantly famous.

The Yankees want money. The people have the money. How do the Yankees reach the people for their money? The media.
