...Highest payroll? They have the second highest, and they went 70-92.
Tampa Bay has the second lowest, and got to the world series last year.

So, does this make it a meaningless arguement? Is it not about how much you spend, but who it's spent on? The yankees could pay me 20 million a year, would it make the team better?
