why does my Xbox360 wireless headset keep turning on in second player?

everytime i turn it on it keeps flashing the second player light. i only have one controller on and its wireless as well... i calibrated both of them and it then turned on the third player light.... whats the problem?
 
I had this same problem and i was never given an answer but i have came to a conclusion that it is either a low battery problem or your mic is broken.

Sorry I couldnt get you a more positive answer for you.
