I'm losing certain characters in Ubuntu, they're being replaced by blank boxes, anywhere there's text on my screen, it's getting messed up, menus, window titles, text boxes *ie this one right now* chat windows, emails, the application button, anyplace there is text, basically. a restart fixes the problem momentarily but then it starts doing it again after a little while, and it's never the same characters every time... getting very frustrated, can anyone help?
