My mother owns and drives, well drove, a 2000 Ford Taurus SE (Less than 119k miles). It's had some work done to the engine through Champion Ford and since then had been running like a champ. Though here lately the transmission has been leaking fluid. I researched to find that its leak, which btw is coming from the dipstick, could be due to pressure not being released properly. Yet the transmission seems that its burning up! I have check the vent cap and stem and its all clear and working properly. If the transmission fluid is poured in its fine until it gets hot and spews it back out. Could this be due to a pump failure or clogged lines? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I'm wanting to get a good idea of exactly what could be happening as tomorrow I'm calling a few shops to get estimates.
