I get awaken from my sleep with sharp pain and the very base of my tongue on each side (close to my neck). It feels like a sharp object is stabbing me in that area - not on the neck, but inside my mouth at the base of my tongue. It goes away, but the pain lingers on but not as sharp. It has been happening frequently and I was wondering if you can enlighten me as to your opinion of the problem.
