Whenever I'm sick or haven't talked for a long time, my throat makes sounds similar to those made by your stomach when you're hungry. There is no gurgling or burp-like noise. It's just like a rumbling tummy. They happen very frequently, as well. Generally short ones come every 5-20 seconds and last less than 1 second, but I'll occasionally have a long one that lasts up to 5 seconds.

This has happened to me for my whole life to date (I'm a 17-year-old female). They don't affect my life in any way or make things more difficult for me. They're just rather loud and odd, and I'm curious as to what's going on. Sometimes my sister gets them too, but hers are much less frequent and loud as mine.
I feel that I should also mention that I don't burp. Seriously. I can't even remember the last time I burped, if ever. Could this just be an alternative method my body uses to release gas bubbles in the stomach?
