Why does my tablet pen only draw straight lines on Photoshop?

My tablet pen will only make straight lines, from where I put down the pen to where I lift it, on photoshop. This is very frustrating, and I don't know how to make it stop?! The thing is as good as brand new, is it already malfunctioning or is it photoshop?
