why does my school allow bikes but not skateboards?

why does my school allow bikes but not skateboards or roller blades i remember the school telling me there's a sign outside that says no skateboards because i had gotten in trouble by bringing mine but it also says no bicycles but they still allow it...is there anything i could do about this?
