I have a four-year-old male poodle mix who weighs 17 lbs. He has maintained his weight his entire adult life. I have always just left a bowl of food out for him. He's slender and has never had a tendency to over-eat. However, I recently took in a stray female poodle mix, I think she's under a year, but I'm not quite sure. She weights about 10 lbs, and eats probably twice as much food as him. He is very active and she is moderately active, but she walks a lot slower and spends more time laying around than him. She's pretty slender, too, right now. So, I'm just curious as to whether it is normal for her to eat so much, or if I should be limiting her food supply. I've sort of started to limit it for the time being, but she just seems so hungry...
Other than the eating, she has no signs of pregnancy, so I don't think it's that...
Thanks
