This Ford Ka is 5 days old and it makes a noise when I change up a gear. It's a more pronounced noise when you change up the lower gears, hardly noticeable when you change from 4th to 5th. It's a 1.3 turbo diesel and their mechanic said it's just the turbo. I think that's a bit lame, what can I do? PS it's a bit of a rattly noise, but not like a metal on metal noise - I would describe it rather like a 'brrrr' noise.
Yes Angle of repose that sounds like a good answer. I'd like to see any other answers that come in because I would like to offer all the possibilities to the service mechanic - you feel such a wally going in and saying ' I just don't like the noise it's making!'
