I don't know why, but whenever i talk to new people or just someone i've rarely spoken to, my heart starts beating ridiculously fast, i find it hard to look them in the eye and my head starts to shake a bit when i do. I know i'm getting very nervous, but i don't know why, it's really annoying. I mean, i'm perfectly normal with people i know and don't think of myself as a socially awkward person. I guess it could be a result of the bullying a few years ago. I even find myself getting nervous when walking down the pavement, thinking all the cars are staring at me. How do i get my confidence back and stay calm in social situations?
