I have an 03 Ford Ka 1.3, and for the past year or so I have noticed the engine sometimes seems to jump or stutter when accelerating, especially going from 20mph through to 50mph. I now realise this only happens when the engine gets very hot, and it is not accompanied by any noise or warning light on the dashboard. A mechanic had a look at it but couldn't really find anything wrong, although after taking it on a test run, he did say the coolant reservoir seemed vey hot, and suggested it may be a heat related issue. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
