why does my ford f250 exhausted manifold studs keep braking?

I had the passinger side replaced first then the drivers side went so i replaced that and now the passinger side broke again. it cost about $300 to fix. if i don't get it fixed will it do any damage to anything. I do notice the gas millage goes up.
 
also make sure that the exhaust hangers on your catalyst are in good shape,that part is heavy.
 
Check for proper torque. Sounds like they may be overthightened. Also make sure to tighten in the proper sequence to ensure that you do not put stress on any peticular side of the headers.
