Why does my Ford f 150 1974 have no spark?

It was running up until a few days ago.. now wont spark at all.. any suggestions?

1974? i had 1 of those ! it could be the coil or coil wire. i assume it has points so check them, they might have slipped. on the ford truck i had the points kept slipping so i used a small lock washer on the screw that tightens the points.

Check to see if you are gettig a sperk from the coil. If so then check points. Check distributor ground.

Your points are carboned up or worn possibly, also could be your advance in the distributor, timing could be bad or if you have an electronic type distributor it may be the the coil is bad. Also make sure the rotor in the cap is not burned up or worn so bad that its not contacting the distributor points. Miosture under the cap is bad for this too. Good luck!
