I have a 28 gallon fish tank with a 30-40 gallon filter. We tried the 20-30 gallon filter but it was not getting the water clean. The water level gets low in like a week or two. Not low to where they cannot swim but the level drops about a gallon in week and a half. I have 7 gold fish ranging from 3 inches to 7 inches. I want to know if this is normal or is there something wrong with my set up. There is no leaks. There is a filter and also the bubbling tube to air-ate the water. If I don't have the bubbling tube the water gets dirty fast. Also is it normal to have to change the filters every 2 weeks.
