my betta bursts from one side of the bowl to the other and he doesn't stop doing that for a day.) So....... He is bursting from side to side because he is getting BURNED BY THE TAP WATER! You need to let the water sit for a day or use a water conditioner which i bet you didn't have! You need these things to take care of your betta. WATER CONDINTIONER (makes tap water safe for fish and removes chlorine and harmful stuff to fishes, LIVE PLANT ( bettas love to rest on live plants!, GRAVEL (dont need to), and finally you need.... a 'Betta'! Lol Okay dude i bet your a beginner so here we go, First: When you change your water, change only 20% of it not 100% which will make the fish burst from side to side...... Second: Add water conditioner to the water to make it safe for the fish. Third:Wait 20 mins before putting the fish back in your tank for the water to get used to the room temeperature which i guarantee you that the fish wont burst like crazy! Fourth: If you do not use a water conditioner i betcha your fish ain't gonna live dat long yold man!! Good luck! Fishy luck goes with you!!!! <>---< <>---< <>---< <>---<

If the PH of the water is not right the fish is being " Burned", and this could be causing him to go nuts. You could fix this by getting water stabilizers and a PH kit to check and fix the water problem.

yes it's the PH levels in the water, they make tablets you can drop in the water after changing to settle the levels

sometimes it's also a matter of a change in temperature of the water that causes the fish to react that way.. however, very rarely for that amount of time.

Well You Betta could be annoyed or maybe he could have a disease.
If you fish keeps doing that he might not like his environment. You might need to get you Betta a new bowl or a tank. If you get your Betta a tank he might feel like he has enough room. you should make sure that the water temp is room temp. Make sure the PH level is a correct amount. You can BUY a PHtester at any of your local pet stores. For EX:
House of Pets, Petco, Pet-Smart, Pet-Value!

HOPE THAT HELPED.!
