2002 Ford F-150 when it rains? When my truck is not running and parked in the rain it will not start. If I disconnect the battery during the rain, it will start, but I have no lights, wipers, radio. Dealership finds no problems. Could it be a leak in the windshield or water running into the firewall?
I have a new battery, wire- brushed posts--everything visible is in excellent shape. If the truck is running while it's raining, it can make a sound like a backfire under the hood. It has sounded like metal flying around. No rain, no problems.
