He will put his nose straight up into the air and start to sniff/smell. He'll lick his nose a lot and sniff away. He does this all of a sudden when we are just sitting, relaxing.
Is he sick, maybe his nose is bothering him? I think I'll take him to the vet this coming week but wanted to know before then if anyone else who is a dog owner/lover has experienced this in the past?

He's a miniature schnauzer.
He looks so funny doing this and really weird because he sniffs like crazy, I thought maybe he was trying to clear his throat? I guess not, seems to be a consensus about this being normal doggy behavior.
