Why does my computer restarts when I play video files?

When I try to open some movie on DivX, my XP crash. It's starting some noise like "buzz" for 1 second, blue screen is showing up and computer restarts.

I've tried with uninstalling the K-Lite codecs & other players which contains codecs, but it doesn't help.

I had the same problem before about 1 month. Than I solved it with reinstalling the XP. But, I want to fix it without formating and to know what's the problem.

I haven't installed any games on my computer, so I don't know if it will restart on games too (I read that someone has similar problem like me with video & games).

So, what do you suggest me to do?
 
Your computer might not be compatible to play DivX videos. Try installing extra RAM or simply upgrade your PC.
