State Farm wants to audit the body repair to my car after it has already been done. What is the purpose of this? It was a vandalism claim ($2000 worth of dents). Any ideas as to why? what is an audit?
They audit repairs pretty often, it is to confirm that you and they are getting what they pay for. It is actually in your best interest as it confirms that your repairs were made correctly. It also helps to identify shops which are not living up their responsibilities to the paying company. Don't worry this is a good thing, and don't forget State Farm guarantees the repair if you use one of their approved shops.
