I took a picture on a beach and have noticed a slightly bright glow outlining my body. What causes this effect?
Interesting answers, but I'd like a scientific explanation.

A possible reasoning for this is the lighting. Perhaps the sun was setting and was behind you, lighting up your back and trying to wrap around the rest of you.

Another reason may be your camera. Different lighting settings and shutter speeds (if your camera has that) may cause slight blurs and other phenomenon on around your body.

It is hard to determine without actually seeing the picture.
