Why does my blackberry say I have 2 BBM messages?

For the past week my blackerry curve 8900 has had the notifier on the top saying I have 2 BBM messages, though I don't. I've tried deleting BBM all together, and taking the battery out and resetting it but nothing is working. Any ideas?
