Why does my battery lite go on and off on my Buick Rendezvous?

I have a 2006 Rendezvous and during the last week the battery lite/warning signal will come on for a few seconds and turn off. It's happened twice in the past week and usually when I'm accelerating onto a highway/freeway. My battery died in December from leaving the radio on too long, but it's been checked twice since then and no problems were found. I drive about 180 miles a day and worried the battery will die on me. Any suggestions or answers? Thanks
