why does my 99 jeep cherokee classic shake at 60 mph?

It seems to me that if it shook only after the mechanics had it, they need to spend some more time figuring out what is wrong. They are the experts in this field and you should be having better luck with them than with us. I was going to suggest that the drive shaft was warped, or that your tires were out of balance...but they checked that. Any chance that you have a sticking brake caliper and a warped rotor?

Just had the front drive shaft replaced got it home and it would shake at around 60 but not all the time and not with any consistency, sometimes its bad sometimes its good. I took it back to the mech and they checked over thier work. Balanced the tires and even removed the drive shaft and test drove it to make sure the shaft was a good one. It still shook. The U joints are good and they told me they checked the front end all over for mechanical problems. The mechanics are stuck. I believe them to be an honest mechanic shop that believes in GOOD customer service so Im not sure what to do.
