Why does my 95 honda accord blow blue smoke?

I have a 95 honda accord v6 that blows blue smoke at idle and when I'm driving really
bad, mostly when the engine gets warmed up and when the car gets going down the road. I know that the seal on my valve cover is bad so it leaks oil, but i dont understand how blue smoke is
coming out of the exhaust any ideas? there is no loss in power when im driving, the car does not make any funny noises, but it blows a little bit of white smoke to and has
a funky smell to it. Can someone tell me what they think might be the problem?

it could be a few things . it don,t have to be oil rings but oil rings can cause it. beside oil rings it could be valve seals or the drain holes are clogged up under the valve pan. i fixed a cavalier once and it kept smoking blue smoke until i cleaned out the drain holes.
