why does my 2001 chrysler sebring 2.7L sounds like a diseal truck?

my sebring convertible car sounds like a diseal truck. It sounds like it's coming from top part of the engine, towards
the belt, there's time it does it . I open the the hood and it sound on top of the intake. Can anyone help me on this?
