Why does Mcdonalds charge for the cheese if you remove it? ?

I am slightly lactose intolerant and the cheese even the smell of it makes me sick. I ask for it to be removed, this does take time but the funny thing I had a friend order extra cheese they charged $.10 for it. So I asked for a $.10 off my meal.
 
Because the prices are set in the register. Mcdonalds is an evil fast food corporation and if you were smart you would never eat there.
 
because its a set price. u have an option to get it, if you don't that's your lost. that's how places earn money. kinda stupid and sucks for the customers but that's Business.
