The matriarch of the Simpsons family and the eponymous TV series, Marge Simpson, has a considerably raspy voice. While it is always audible, it is somewhat pointless and that it has never been explained. Why does she have it? Is it a genetic from her family, the Bouviers? (Which her twin sisters, Patty and Selma, and her mother have except her father) Is it the actress' problem, Julie Kavner, who voices her or what?
