Why does it usually take our car 3 tries to start?

Fuel filter is clogged, bad fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, clogged or leaking fuel injectors or fuel pump relay.

Just for the record, I just fixed a Cadillac and it was one bad fuel injector and bad regulator.
 
For whatever reason our 97 cadillac deville started having problems starting. It usually takes 3 tries before it will turn over, and never more than 3. But the sad thing is it will always end up starting so we have just gotten used to it and this has been going on for like 2 months now. Any idea what can be going on?
