This evening my in-laws watched our 10 month old for the firest time in a while. I am not a huge fan of them having her alone because I really don't trust them to follow our guidelines and rules for her. But to day we had no choice. I make her food 90% of the time, otherwise its like earthbest or somthing like that. Today she had turkey meat and green beans that she could pick up and chew. Well she ate and was still a bit hungry. My hubby told them that if she finished her dinner and wanted more that there was a bottle in her bag that they were to give her. They know I am very careful of what she eats. I want to give her the best start at food that I can so I don't give her anything fried, no fast food, no sweets (except fresh fruit), most of her stuff is whole wheat and organic. Well they had stir fry with soy sauce already in it and had pork-fried rice from the chinese place. I dont think they gave her stir-fry but I know as I walked in they were talking about giving her some rice...
My FIL wasnt joking around about it and didnt act like he was caught or in trouble with me or anything. I just stood there gathered her things thanked them and left. On sunday my MIL wants to take her for breakfast. I told her OK, but now I am concerned. When we go out for breakfast she can have a plain pancake or waffle and eggs. No salt or whip cream or syrup ect. Now I dont trust them to take her. My hubby is mad that I dont want her to go. Although he agrees with me 100% about what she should eat/not eat. He just wants her to spend time with them, but now I feel like they need supervision with her again. Am I wrong? And should I talk to her myself or have hubby do it? I wont be rude or mean. I am just genuinely sad about it. I make it clear that I dont feed her things like that, and yet they didnt even think twice about it. Their grandson (my SIL's son) eats that crap all the time and is already overweight; hes not even 3! What should I do?
I will not LET IT go. I am her mother this is NOT their choice to make.
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY'VE IGNORED US ABOUT TAKING CARE OF HER!!!
And to top it off their idot daughter changed our daughters disper and she somehow got the straps sooo tight that they overlapped. I dont know HOW in the hell she did this since these are the last few of that size and they are getting quite small and hard to strap. THe baby is chafed and has a rash with bumps around her entire stomach from the diaper being like this whle she moved and played and sat.
I mean yeah its one time, but if you new someone was a vegan and they raised their kids vegan would it be ok for the grandparents to give the kids a cheeseburger and milkshake I DONT THINK SOO!!!
