Why does he never open his menu?

When me and my boyfriend go out to eat he never opens his menu. Everywhere he goes he gets the exact same thing every time he goes. He never tries something new. He doesn't even open his menu to look at the other options. Is that something I should be leery of? Like could it be a "red flag" that he isn't open minded? Or should I just see it as he is consistent?
 
here's what i would do love...take him(your treat) to,say, a thai restaurant,or french...something where he can't order a "burger and fries".if he freaks out or is incapable i would say that he lacks any kind of intellect...he certainly wouldn't ask for help from strangers(which i believe is a good thing at this anonymous level)...now ,being under-cultured does not make one a bad person and certainly neither does illiteracy...but closed-mindedness is a crime and typically goes hand in hand with misogyny,racism,and all kinds of ignorant hatred.
 
i only open my menu to see if they have the same thing I always eat on the menu and order it.
