So i use Firefox, in my opinion its a much more secure Browser and it also has a few Extensions i need that Chrome doesn't have.
The problem is Firefox is taking like 3 times as much System Resources (CPU, RAM, etc.) than Chrome does.
Any time i load a new page, watch a video, or really anything, Firefox takes up 70% of my CPU and Chrome takes up only about 25% when i do these things.
I have 4 small extensions running at all times, and no toolbars.
I'm usually Browsing YouTube, Wikipedia, Kotaku, Twitter, or Facebook. But never all at once.
I usually only have like 2-4 tabs open and they are never all active at once.
When i browse the internet i exit every program on my computer that isn't necessary for it to run. (Except for Music, Occasionally)
So i'm just asking is why is this happening? Its pretty much always been this way but is now bothering me.
Maybe someone could give me some tips on how to make Firefox stop taking so much of my CPU, i'm tired of my Laptop slowing down all the time when i'm just trying to listen to music and browse the internet.
My Computer Definitely fits the Recommended System Requirements from the Firefox website.
OS:Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit
Computer: Toshiba Satellite L305-S5915 Laptop
To my knowledge i don't have any sort of Virus or Spyware or any of that nonsense, I have 3 different Anti Virus Programs and they all say theres nothing wrong with my computer, i only run 1 of them at all times though.
I have cleaned up my HDD and that didn't help, i also defragged my HDD, Ive tried many things, nothing helps.
Thats all the necessary info i think.
I apologize for my spelling errors, i'm not a grammar freak sorry.
Any help would be appreciated.
