Why does god make life a test when he already knows that most people will fail?

freewill, eh?
ya, okay, god gave us freewill in the life that he gave us although he already knows how we're going to use that freewill in the test (which is our life)?
so with that said, how can you even say freewill exists when god has already predestined how we are going to use it?
batgirl----a lot of Christians on here have said that life is a test! I am not the only one that has said it
I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere in the bible that life is a test.

Because WE do not know that. There is much for US to learn in this process of life. We learn about OURSELVES by the trials, challenges and tribulations we face here upon the earth.

Then when we die, we take that experience and knowledge about ourselves with us to the next life. Do to the grace of Jesus Christ, all of us will received everlasting life and be able to continue again with the knowledge that we have learned.

you came across one of the biggest flaws in religion.
edit: batgirl is a typical christian. they will deny everything and act def, mute and blind.

I do not think He influences our decisions, If I believed He did and it is all predestined, there would be no point to this life.

This life is to learn and come closer to understanding so we may leave this life a better soul with love and thanks to God.

Predestination is not consistent with "free will". ...and there is a huge difference between knowing what choice someone will make before they make it and compelling them to make that decision.

I'm a college professor, and I can usually predict what grade a student will earn in the class simply by observing their attitude during class, their performance on the first few assignments, and the way the react/respond to those first few grades. My "foreknowledge" in no way hinders their free will...I'm not giving them an F before they finish the class, but I can tell right away that they aren't going to do what it takes to earn a higher grade! I'd be willing to bet that most teachers that have spent enough time interacting with their class can identify who will and who will not pass a test before they give it...so why do teachers give tests...why don't they just observe their students for a few weeks and give them a grade?

I think that most people are under the mistaken impression that teachers give tests so they can learn something about their students...but I believe that the real purpose and value in tests is to give students the opportunity to learn something about themselves! More importantly, we can learn just as much, if not more, about ourselves by failing a test than by passing it! Tests allow us to identify our strengths AND our weaknesses...so we can capitalize on those strengths in the future and even use them to help us work on things that need improvement!

Predestination is different that knowing we are going to fail. But, who told you that we are being tested, and why did you believe them?

We make our own decisions. He knows our nature. IF He were to test us, He is smart enough to be able to design a test that we could pass. Or one we are sure to fail. What would be the point?

We are not tested.

you are thinking it's like a school test with multiple choice answers that will let you pass to the next grade.

think of it more like a blacksmith.

He takes the raw ore, full of impurities, heats it in a fire until it's red hot. Then He applies treatments. He pounds it with a hammer. Heats it more. Turns it, examines it, heats it more, smashes it more, by a procedure of purification he takes the dross out of the silver until something worthless has been turned into something precious and pure.

ok....say you are a parent, you tell your child not to jump on the bed several times because you know he or she could get injured, but as soon as that child thinks you arent watching them, they go jump on the bed, fall and break an arm or a leg,,,,,you already knew that child was going to disobey you, you tryed to warn him or her but they were stubborn and did it anyway.....you foresaw the disobedience and what the results could be, but you didnt cause it to happen, you were looking out for the welfare of that child but they dont understand that,,,,God is no different.....if we keep doing what we are doing, we will keep getting what we are getting......God knew upfront that we would rebel and suffering is the result, and its not His fault,.....he did give us a free will to choose, its not His fault that we make wrong choices.
