Why does FOX news brag about their ratings when...?

...when they are--a majority of the time--using their own damned statistics. Man, I bet those are accurate, non-biased--oh, and fair and balanced! Moreover, even if they were correct, what would that prove?

It would prove that couch potatoes who come home after a long day of dirty blue-collar work sit down and rot their brains in front of O'Reilly, Hannity's plumber dumb*ss (yes, he's a plumber), and that paranoid schizo Beck. Are these the people that really matter?

The people that really matter do not watch propaganda such as FOX news; the people that give FOX their misleading ratings are delusional christian fundamentalists and far-right southerners. They have all the time to waste in front of the TV, no?

Who was it that said "Everything popular is wrong."? I love it when O'Reilly comes on and brags about "beating out" all the other stations. O'Reilly--uh, you've got a bunch of uneducated losers watching. After all, isn't that the general demographic that watches TV that much so as to give rating points?

I'm not a fan of Fox news, but I have to say that they're not the only ones who do this. Every network, and every station, hypes themselves. It's a way to make people think, "wow, these guys are really good, I should watch more often." Radio stations do it too. They all claim to play the best music, and the most music. Some of them must be wrong!

Anyway, chalk it up for what it is, which is self-promotion.

You must be one of those young, new age college hippies who are hypnotized by Olbermann and Matthews with their over sized heads. I was where you are once, then I stopped drinking the kool-aid.

Why so much hate? Just a different form of news. Fox is biased, so what? So is MSNBC and CNN. Doesn't make it any more right just because their bias is in favor of your political views. It's wrong either way.

I just needed a break from watching MSNBC, it's sickening to me now. And CNN is a whole other story...
