why does facebook keep going to the news feed?

on facebook i used to just click on the live feed (on the homepage) and then it would just stay on it. but now if i look at somebody's wall and then go back to the homepage and it'll be on the news feed again. how do i make it so that it stays on the live feed?
it always used to stay on it but i don't know what happened. please helpppp it's so annoying. thanks in advance(:
 
it cant stay as live feed. it changes all the time. facebook changed it's interface thingy like crazy. everyone hates it now, if it aint broken, dont fix it -_-
