Why does everyone think that if Germany won World War 2 we'd all speak German?

Why do people believe that if Germany had won the war we'd be speaking German. For one Germany could not have invaded the United States if they couldn't even invade Great Britain which was a mere 25 miles across the English Channel. Or even defeat the Soviet Union which contrary to popular belief was in no shape of defeating Germany but only defeated Germany do to Hitlers sacking of the General and taking over Command of the War in Russia. So with this said Germany would not have had the man power or naval strength to reach America.
 
First off, you are right, Germany did not have the pure man power to even approach America, let alone take it over. Out of these 3 countries, Russia was the closest to being taken over (at one point the Nazis were within 20 miles of Moscow.) Hitler was delusional, because thinking he could defeat 3 nations all with more population than his, 2 of which had about twice the amount he did, was pure stupidity. Russia partly defeated Germany due to Hitlers sacking of the Command, not completely. Anyways, people only say that because of pure ignorance, most of the time they have no idea of what is being said, they just go around repeating it. Even with Japan and Italy (who was pathetically weak), Germany could've never mounted an assault on America.
