He worked for the Sun-Times in the beginning then he teamed up with another great guy whi I liked his reviews better Gene Siskel
The two guys that started together 'At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert' this kinda stuff was never done before and they were real they really stuck to their guns and I loved the show. It changed a lot of hands and ended up as 'Siskel & Ebert & The Movies' some say it was growing tired as they been around yet they both kept it up. Gene Siskel died in February 20, 1999 and Roger Ebert did keep it up and he did change with the times even Twittering.......
He knows his movies yet there are others that review them just as well and some even better yet he knows his stuff and the depth he has is really out there.....like a baseball broadcaster with all the stats from all the years of a player out in left field.....Yet I will still cheer on Gene Siskel (He picked my kinda of movies)
sorry i went off on like that I grew up in Chicago and watched them from the start.....
