why does a vericocele prevent military service?

im trying to join coast guard and was told to have a vericocele repaired so i could resubmitt info to meps now they disqualified me for a history of a vericocele does that mean im disqualified forever or what should i do
 
Have your recruiter check with MEPS medical as to weather or not it is a permanent disqualification. It might only be a temporary disqual, needing a doctors follow up after 90 days or so.

Never having run across your particular problem during 18 years as an Army Recruiter, that is the best answer I can provide.
