why does a 93 chevy silverado with a 350 have two posts that the aire breather rests on?

i have a Chevy silverado and i was looking into buying a cold air intake and throttle body spacer but on my truck there is two rods while on all models of cold air intakes and spacers there is one rod in the middle what would i have to change to make mine have one center post
