Why do your eyes dilate during sex?

I've always wondered about this reaction and have read about some studies that researched why eyes dilate (other than because of darkness). If anyone knows, I'd sure appreciate an answer, preferrably scientific, but hypothesis are great too. =)
 
because it is nice - pupils always dilate at least a little when you see something / someone you like - theory is to let more light in to see it better.
