I just need to know some basic information on the fire... Such as; WHAT WERE THE EFFECTS? - WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED? - WHY DID IT HAPPEN?(WHAT CAUSED IT?) - HOW COULD THIS EVENT BE SEEN FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES? ....just stuff like that....HELP ME PEEPZ!!!! THANX! -Me.

Unfortunately we remember the Great Chicago Fire but have very little knowledge of a far worst blaze that happened that very same night. The Great Chicago Fire killed and estimated two hundred to three hundred people and covered an area of 2,000 acres. Now compare that to Peshtigo, Wisconsin. The Peshtigo fire killed an estimated 1,200 to 2,500 people and laid waste to one and a half million acres. So why don't we know as much about about one of the worst disasters in US history? Because that same night the Great Chicago Fire occured and being in a major city it bumped the fire of little Peshtigo off the major newspapers of the day.
