why do you think that the crusades was a clash of civilizations?

seriously i have to write this dumb paper about my opinion on the crusades. i have about a half of a page i need a page so if u can give me you opinion or state some helpful fact i would apprichiate it
 
I don't actually think it was a clash of civilisations per se. I think it was a clash of religious fanatics and ignorant people who were conned into going off to fight religious wars.
