gm is in the planning stage of asking the government 10 billion dollars to help buy chrysler, but really what i want to know is how are they ever going to pay this back and why would they even want to do it? first off gm is going broke and their stock status is junk to many lending companies right now, cars arent selling, especially in the chrysler automobiles, it just seems like they would be taking on more weight or even more debt. in my opinion they should be trying to rework their own products and marketing rather than take on even more projects. please tell me what you think

Believe it or not, GM wants to get Chrysler because Chrysler actually has a fair amount of cash on hand to help GM after the takeover. Seems weird but that is one reason they want it.

cause they got an addiction to buy things.

gm is just a lump of toxic debt.

the ceo can also justify a massive pay increase if his against-all-odds gamble pays off in the long term future. he and gm also have nothing to lose.
