What do you think baby Jesus' reasons for this are?
He magically cured some people of sickness, but if he helped develop a vaccination, a lot of people would be cured of a lot of diseases. Is it because diseases are actually the result of baby Jesus punishing us for our sins, and that the only people that deserve to be cured are a few individuals that baby Jesus stumbles upon and cures in front of a very small to nonexistent audience?
Baby Jesus was so awesome with his ability to cure certain people's diseases when no one was looking. I trust that not telling people about germ theory and therefor causing untold needless deaths was a prudent decision.
