why do you (personally) watch combatative sports? (mma, boxing,...

...real-wreslting, muai thai, etc.)? what draws you to it?

i'm asking because personally, i want to see a good fight and the skill of the fighters and care less about the actual winner than seeing some skill and excitement.

of course i think it sucks when someone who deserves to win doesn't, or i have an opinion who i think will win, but don't become emotional or follow a fighter the way people follow a team-

Ie: since the Yankees (and ONLY the yankees represent NYC for example, i have no connection to an individual fighter).

obviously if you have money on a specific outcome you become tied to the outcome, but i'm just curious as to people's motivations. would they not follow a particular combat art anymore if thier favorite fightr left? or would they just become like an "observer" till they found someone else.
i didn't even connect following a particular fighter because of thier art, however i guess one could have a vested interest in seeing that fighter do well if part of his training is your art.

how many of you do that?
