I asked a question about why it was so cold in April in Sydney and instantly got slammed as a denier who thinks I am smarter than so called scientists with statistics, but seriously for 10 yrs I've been hearing the world is getting warmer so can you blame me for thinking that after ten years I would be feeling the difference? I mean you can't have cancer for ten yrs and not eventually feel the effects. But for ten years I've felt April to be warmer on some occasions and colder on others, I don't feel any consistency in the world warming up and according to statistics Australia is suppose to be warming up.
I used to be supporter of man made Global Warming but as the years went on I kept being thrown statistics but never seeing the results and have traveled extensively only to find out the areas where so called global warming is occurring the exact same flood and drought have happened centuries before. We just never look at history enough, when you look through history you realize all the things that climate change scientists talk about have happened before and it wasn't the end of the world. It was the end of a few civilizations but people eventually, adapted, changed, and started again. And these are people's accounts not statistics, and I think I'm going to believe eyewitness accounts more than a bunch of numbers.
Now I know people are going to respond with more statistics and say the arctic circle's never melted before, and these people have PhDs and have studied for years but you have to remember only half a century ago a man with PhD said let's cut holes in mental patients heads to make them better, and the whole medical community was behind him apart from a minority of lobotomy deniers who were pushed into the background.
The majority isn't always right and we just go along with it, and hey cleaning up the air isn't a bad thing I'm all for that being an asthma sufferer myself. But I think to just slam man made climate change deniers who do not have PhDs and do not use statistics without understanding our reasoning is ignorance and disrespect on your own part. I'm not saying seeing is believing but when you've been told for ten yrs the world is going to end and twelve yrs passes and the ice caps are still there you can't blame people for starting to doubt the statistics. I mean twenty years ago statistics claimed that now we should be living through another ice age!
And if anyone responds with 'the change is incremental', even if it is one degree a year, after ten years, ten degrees? I'm sure I would notice that.
Just because we don't have PhDs doesn't mean we don't have our own brains to think and our opinions and questions are just as valid as any professor or scientist. Don't slam without understanding, if someone asks a question just answer the question there's no need to slam them for their question, especially with demeaning remarks about educational background.
