I had my baby when I was 15 (almost 16), and now I am 16 (almost 17). I have a son turning 1 1/10. I have my GED & I stay home with him all day, everyday- my parents have not had to lift a finger (not saying they should have to, but a lot of teen parents do it.). As a matter of fact, my mom tells me I am a better mother than she is! I am also going to school next semester to be a nurse, so I can support my son & I. I know I made a bad decision, but I work so hard trying to take responsibility for my actions & do the best I can for my son- & everyone (who does not know me) puts me down! Why?!
Because on my old Yahoo! account if I asked a question not related to it at all, people would see it on my info/something & make rude comments.
Explain how I ruined my life. I am going to be in my early twenties with a stable job that I can support myself & my son with! & how do you know I have to use my parents money? Can I not have a job? Lol. Wow...

I think the issue is people assume too much.
I love hearing about other success stories.(: This pretty much made my night...
I used protection. Condoms AND birth control- some things just happen.
