Why do women get offended when men try to define womanhood but it's socially...

...acceptable the other way round? inspired by the question by j budden
Dot, well who paid for the 18 years of child support YOU forced upon your father? Birth lasts for a couple of hours, the care and child support lasts for years, which is worse? I pity any guy who is foolish enough to marry such a disgraceful excuse for a woman.

It is what you all say about it. You act like we are hysterical fools that cannot form a thought or think for ourselves.

Oh that was me who wrote that comment and deleted it.

I was just being cheeky.

Sarcasm doesn't come across well in text and I realized that in hind sight.

Although I was tempted to tell him to man up and scrub something.

But naaaaaaah

Because J Budden has every right to want what he wants in a woman. Every right.

Just like I have every right NOT to be attracted to men like J Budden. I just figured it was a good opportunity for a playful jab in the opposite direction.

I don't think it is acceptable to define what manhood is. All people are different. Which is why I don't expect my man to go and fix the car's engine and he doesn't expect me to make sandwiches.

The problem with defining "gender roles" is that there are so many variables today that are accepted as "normal", and that the situations are as individual as the people involved.
What might seem right and proper to one may seem draconian and oppressive to another. What might be a comfortable fit to one, may be an too tight/too loose fit to another.
As long as the people involved can come to a consensus as to what is right for them, and gives each what they seek from their partner, who's to say its not "right" for them?
