Why do women do not think about sex as much as men?

The brain is programmed to seek what makes it happy. For some people that's sex, good food, or living with 50 cats.

Women that have experienced intense sexual pleasure think about sex more often than women who haven't. It's easier for men to experience sexual pleasure, therefore men on average think about it more.

As Dark Eyes says, women in general are programmed a bit different than men. It should be noted that men and women still are attracted to each other naturally.

"it takes more for us to become aroused then men." -- LMFAO! "us"? What does the "us" mean? Do you represent ALL women? When did you become the ombudsman of ALL women? LMFAO!

"Studies"? The most recent articles on the subject that I've read have been stressing the point that men don't actually think about sex nearly as much as we think. That whole "every 6 seconds" thing is a complete myth. It's pretty impossible to accurately gage how often anyone thinks about sex. How would you possibly go about measuring something like that? You can get a fairly good reading on how often a person is aroused, but not how often they actually think about sex. These "studies" all come down to what individuals report, and those numbers then need to be looked at in the context of what the human brain is capable of remembering and how culture influences what people are willing to divulge.
